To Apply For Naturalization

Applicants for citizenship must file an Application for Naturalization (Form-400) with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). To obtain application forms and naturalization information, please contact the USCIS National Customer Service Center by telephone at 1-800-375-5283 or visit their website at https://www.uscis.gov.

After all requirements of the USCIS have been satisfied, the USCIS will send an applicant written notice of the date and time to report to a naturalization ceremony, typically two to three weeks in advance of the ceremony.

If you are petitioning for a name change, you must be naturalized at a Courthouse ceremony. If you are not petitioning for a name change, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services frequently conduct shorter and less ceremonial administrative ceremonies.

Please do not contact the court regarding your naturalization ceremony. Questions should be directed to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) at 1-800-375-5283.
